Sad news. The first band I ever saw in concert And Mr Bridgwit's first band I saw Showaddywaddy at a work's do with a free bar. I remember very little about the gig but apparently I thoroughly enjoyed it. RIP Trevor

A friend of mine lives in a house with a separate upstairs.
Showaddywaddy’s drummer lives above her…
I never saw the band, but he was once at a party at here house, I had a brief chat.

The great Mike Westbrook, British jazz musician and composer.
His 70s albums were partly responsible for my getting into jazz in my teens.

https://donegalnews.com/256833-2/Terrible news. Such a haunting voice and presence, and far too young. I think their Cropredy gig was the Clannad's penultimate one so we can be grateful for that chance. RIP.

Very sad. Clannad is my calm-me-down music, mainly due to Maire’s voice. So glad I got to see them at Cropredy. RIP
