The Alan Parsons Project - Tales Of Mystery & Imagination
It came out in 1976, so must have been about 6 years old when I first heard it (the first thing I owned by APP), and it has been a favourite ever since.
I think I'll put on Eye In The Sky next, which was the first APP album I bought as it came out. The six years between the two albums seemed a long time back then, but looking back it was just a blink!

Trees : Third Album... Demos (hood CD).
This is the Trees Live boot LP, without the applause dubbed on. It's a little easier on the ear.
If we take this as evidence, a third album would have been wonderful. The voice has a more 'rock' edge, and the guitars sound more powerful, though it's still folky material.

First four Echo and the Bunnymen albums. Very loudly (after buying tickets for next year). They're really rather wonderful aren't they? Weird to 'hear' a band for the first time after knowing them (heard all the albums before but never really listened properly if you know what I mean) for four and a half decades....
Heaven up Here my fave but there's not really a bad track on the four imho.

Fuchsia : Fuchsia (Fruits de Mer 2LP, white/black vinyl, booklet, DVD, cuddly toy etc . 2018).
Searching on discogs told me once again there are 2 spellings of Fuchsia/Fuschia out there.
Anyway, it's a nice album which i haven't played a lot. The mastering makes it sound too modern, but i'll forgive them that .
Sort of folky, melodic , brisk psych /prog with a strong element of early Pink Floyd.

The very excellent Dreams Never Leave You by the equally fine Bob Fox on which most of the chaps contribute. It includes the track The White Cockade which the sleeve notes tell us is "a plume in a soldiers cap to identify his allegiance and was the emblem of the Jacobite's during the 18th century and not an appliance from an Ann Summers party".  |

Side one is a long instrumental piece- beautiful and stmospheric. Side 2 has poems with music backing Made on an Arts Council grant, back in 1971 when such things existed. |

Very much taken by La Nouvelle Musique of late. Eponymous album bounces between late 60s psych folk and Kirsty MacColl, with a marvelous cover of Crazy Lady Blues for good measure.

Big Thief “Double Infinity”
A little disappointed by this one, it’s good but falls short of the the excellent previous album “Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You” which did set the bar rather high.

It's by no means awful, but I'd be very surprised if you wanted to listen to it more than once. A curiosity, I'd suggest. |

RT's Live From Honolulu which I missed hearing about when it was released in 2022. Seems it was recorded back in 2006 and he had Danny on the double bass and Michael Jerome on the drums. I was sure I had a copy of RT & DT's Live at Crawley album but can't find it so this recording will do nicely instead.
I also found an album that Danny recorded with Eric Bibb and North Country Far titled The Happiest Man In The World which I'll be giving a listen to later.
