Against The Tide by the Order of the 12, just now on Cerys Matthews 6Music show. Shades of Pentangle and Trees. Will be investigating the album, Lore of the Land.

Anyone else heard of these? Theyre from Lewes  Sussex. New to me.

Yep, I did mention it a while back I believe...it's a side project of Richard Norris of The Grid fame.  It's utterly fab.  Impossible to dislike, I think.

I'll pay more attention in future Smiley

Thanks Alan and David, listening to their album now.

I didn't mean it like that.  I discovered it by complete accident with a Bandcamp Friday announcement.  I picked up one of the CDs...the vinyl is already sold out I believe...

It was sold put at bandcamp and I got one from amazon.

My vinyl copy has just arrived. Disappointed not to get a download card. It is just like the old days. If I want to listen to it in the car I have to hook the record deck up to another machine, press record and copy it in real time!  Grin

Ha Ha...would that be monochrome or colour prince?!

Very Underrated album in my view...never pops up in those 'definitive' lists of Miles's albums but it's one I return to frequently...

Cheers,

Just put on Christy's Live in Dublin 2006. Earlier it was The Alt, Nuala Kennedy and Damien O'Kane.

Happy St Paddy's Day!  Smiley

We've been watching 'Holding' on ITV Hub this week. Great cast with actors from Father Ted, The Young Offenders and Derry Girls.

It's a great reissue. You get a booklet and a gatefold.  The mastering is from the original analogue tapes. Im not too keen on the colour,  but it sounds great.

That is such a great album, I wore out my vinyl copy years ago so this could be a reason to get a new copy. So much fabulousness on one record.

I don't know how well known this is, but having heard it described as Hawaiian Wyrd Folk, with Joni Mitchell-ish vocals, and Nick Drake acoustic playing, I had to check it out..

Just picked up Rod Picott's "Welding Burns" for a couple of quid. Excellent album. I'll try to catch him on his UK tour soon.
