Pretty sure it was mentioned at the warm-ups.

Wonder if they'll go the whole hog & include "Poor Will" & "BBoR"?  Smiley

Simon in the past consistently blew lead guitar duties out of the water, he is a fine lead player, listen to any of the Sloths from '71 on. I would actually prefer to hear them stretch out without an added musician as I feel this is a piece of the band that has been missing for many years, now I am intrigued.

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but I just came across it on the Guardian website -

Fairport Convention: amplified folk - archive, 1969
23 September 1969 Amplified, but intricate, fiddle-playing against the sheer guts of electric guitar is English folk music for the 1970s

Has Paul ever appeared at Cropredy?

Not with any great confidence, but I'm going to say 'no'...

Certainly has been on stage with FC during MoTL at the end of various shows over the years. He's a good friend (not seen him recently though)

Anyone been (or going) to any of the autumn gigs? I'd be interested to hear opinions of any new material, what with a new album in the works...

Any hints or rumours on the line up at Cropredy next year? Just organising my Christmas budget and wondering if I can afford tickets and glamping.....  Undecided

Mr Digance's website shows Cropredy 15/8... I've heard nowt other than the annual "I'd like to see XXXXXXXXX at Cropredy next year" threads.

I think we can safely dis-count Bob Dylan, AC/DC and The Rubettes though!

I'm guessing the Rubettes bloke would have to sing...the other two haven't got a voice left between them...

Not sure if this is the right/best place for this?

On BBC4 tonight is a prog by Rick Wakeman about Rock bands on tour. It states it includes stuff from FC.
