Isle of Man for me...and a couple of others for good measure!

We're on IoM right now, can report that beer is bloody expensive - £4-5 for a pint.

Say hello to the island for me. I lived there on several occasions in my life, as a result of my Dad's family being Manx. The beer may be expensive, and it's hard to find anywhere decent to eat out, but there are some lovely places. It's not to everyone's taste, but I adore Peel.

Last time I was here, Elvis was still on the planet... in fact, news of his death broke while I was here. Not managed to get over to Peel, but spent today on various trains and trams to Snaefell summit, Laxey and Ramsey.

Chris Taylor, a guy on the Fairporters FB page has just uploaded a 3 min Super 8 film taken at Cropredy in '79 (not of the band) which is well worth a look...

After missing the Wintour due to them not playing anywhere near me, I just found out that Fairport are playing in Pentyrch, near Cardiff, on 9th May (next week!) The online box office is saying 'sold out' and there is a message on the phone saying they are closed on bank holidays. Where have I been? How long have the spring tour dates been available? I wasn't aware of this gig at all.

The dates were in the programme for the winter tour, and I thought had been posted on this board? Went on sale in January....

Thinking about the Brum gig next week but does anyone know is this an "acoustic" tour, and is the set list likely to be the same as the Wintour or looking forward towards the 50th anniversary set?

ive always thought that cups and mugs should have a disclaimer that they might be hot otherwise one might scald himself just picking one up.
Hows a chap to know?

Happy bonny black hare day!!

On the fourteenth of May at the dawn of the day
With my gun on my shoulder to the woods I did stray
In search of some game if the weather proved fair
To see could I get a shot at the bonny black hare.

Anyone been to the Spring tour? Didn't get to Brum or Leamington and wondered if I missed much?
