Let's face it, 2016 is unlikely to be a vintage year with all the friends and associated acts turning up for the 2017 extravaganza (a phrase bandied about last August by someone who should know).

As always, we shall shuffle along for the craic.

And what great craic it always is!

I first mentioned this in the Radio Times section before the event, but now it is more appropriate afterwards here...

I had my 30th anniversary radio show last night.  It went very well - lots of local acts coming in for some live to air music, and also some pre-recorded messages from elsewhere.

Including a song especially written for the occasion by Ken Nicol.  Smiley  And... a new instrumental gifted to the show by Mr Maartin Allcock!  "Nonesuch Electronica" is the name and the description.  There's only one place you can hear it, on the show's blog:

https://rootsandbranchesaustralia.wordpress.com/live-to-air/30th-anniversary-part-1-2015/

NB a nice quote from Swarb too!  Grin

Excellent work, Michael, here's to many more years!

ps - good to hear the "Nonesuch" tune - I used to have a Pyewackett album with that on.

Driving home after a duathlon at Bedford autodrome yesterday, I "just happened" to stop to take a photo of a certain field...

I see the 2016 Cropredy tickets go sale tonight and the first line up announcements are due today as well. I suppose it'll soon be time for us all to indulge in the usual 'yay' 'boo' discussion regarding bands who are/aren't on the list..... Fez

Announcement due at 8pm tonight. Not sure how many bands will be announced, though as I'm at a gig won't find out until later.
