I heard yesterday and Eric Bogle has now made public that John Campbell Munro passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer.

John was a fabulous musician, songwriter and human being. His work with Eric and with Colcannon will stand the test of time.

A great loss.

Very sorry to hear that. I saw Eric & John on their Farewell UK Tour a few years ago, at the Ely Festival. They were terrific, and were rewarded with a standing ovation.

And my Colcannon albums still get a regular spin. Shame I never managed to see them live

Very sad news. Just listening to "Sands Of Time" and "Sunny Side Of Heaven" in his honour. RIP Danny.

Vinnie Paul, Pantera drummer, 54

That's a sad one. At their best, Cowboys...... and Vulgar..........., no metal band could live with them.
Think how terrible metal and heavy rock was in the 80s and all fans of that music owe Pantera a debt of gratitude for helping to make it listenable again.
RIP Vinnie.
