Afraid not.  To be honest, I've been too preoccupied with other things, and forgot all about it.

My wonderful local indie cinema showed it, but i felt the £15/£13 conc.  was a  bit steep. It's only a film, after all.  Roll Eyes

Hardly going to be a blockbuster & I wouldn't be surprised if someone catches a cold with the number of UK venues.

Nice sign off:

“The feeling we have here — remember it, take it home and do some good with it,” Mr. Hart said in closing. “I’ll leave you with this: Please, be kind.”

Great show - even allowing for some decidedly dodgy harmonies on the encore (Attics)...but Trey did a fine job on guitar.

May I take this opportunity to echo Mr Lesh - please become an organ donor.

Good to meet Ian and Kai, see you at Cropredy!

I do remember them, actually.  I've always thought Phish were amazing musicians...just that most of what they played was, well, er, um, pretty rubbish....

You know, that pretty much hits the nail on the head.  Exactly.  I couldn't have phrased it better myself.

Yes, a most enjoyable evening, enhanced by meeting Paul & not having to drive.

An interesting choice of set list & it was great to see those rusty strings dusted off one more time.

I was expecting some very dodgy vocals from Phil. but it was nowhere near as painful as it might have been. apart, as Paul mentioned, the brave attempt at "Attics".

Good as Trey is, much like the various Sandy tributes, it served to highlight how special the original was. We'll not see their like again.

I don't own a single track by them, but feel that their live music would be the better than studio albums. Would this new release be a good place to start, or is there something better?

Their live music is more typical, not always better.  I wouldn't start with the new compilation though.  Maybe start with Europe '72, it's most fans pick of their best live album (complete with a little studio overdubbing).  But don't rule out starting with their finest studio album, American Beauty.  It would be a shame for you not to hear it.

I agree with Jules, the new live compilation is definitely not the place to start. If you want to start with a live one then I might also suggest getting "Grateful Dead" (otherwise known as "Skull and Roses") from 1971 -- another fine recording, although it also has overdubs (the organ parts). And Workingman's Dead for the other studio album which I think rivals American Beauty for their best LP in that category. Or maybe Mars Hotel. Or ...

A not very good piece in Uncut...but

"Heads up! Next month’s Uncut – on sale July 28 in the UK – comes with a FREE GRATEFUL DEAD CD: our historic attempt to piece together the album that should have followed “Workingman’s Dead” and “American Beauty”…"

Can't quite work out what's going on there...the 'solo' band stuff maybe?

Wouldn't that have been the new songs that appeared on "Europe '72"? "Jack Straw", "He's Gone", "B. E. Women" etc, although presumably there are no studio versions or somebody would have done it already.

My guess is stuff from the live 1971 album, Bob's Ace, Jerry's first solo LP, and Europe '72.

That piece really describes my one experience of a Dead show in the 90's complete with lost shoes, a strange and very violent sub-culture and in the end corporate hippiedom which lives on in the Oregon Country Faire this week.

I have loved much of their music over the years but have shied away from any show involving any member of the band, apart form the one Phil Lesh show because Dylan was around, largely because of their self-righteous audience. Maybe it's just an Oregon thing.

Same here.  It reminds me of seeing bootlegs in the '90s of the "final" Grateful Dead album, with 'So Many Roads," "Lazy River Road," "Days Between," etc.  The 90s material that was never recorded in the studio.

Latest news on the revised Deadbase (Deadbase50) is its going to be available on Amazon (.com at least) probably 2nd week in August at $89.99 which is currently just short of 60 quid.  Sadly I don't think I'll be able to afford it, but man, do I want it...
