There's never been a line-up I didn't like - each has its own merits - but I do have a soft spot for the Angel/Babbacombe team - as Ainsdale was indeed the first time I saw FC.

Angel Delight from the infamous Ainsdale Beach show in 1971 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clRmQc4IjNE There is also some Steeleye stuff from the same concert. By the looks of the titles, there is more to come.  Cheesy

Watch Simon's face when he hits a bum note on the guitar at about 1'47".  Very funny.

Only if you're attending a 'Colonials and Natives' party, apparently.

I think he'd have found it hard to goose-step with jackboots full of sand.

What a kn*bhead.

I see Peggy was wearing that Man City-style shirt that he wore for the Angel Delight cover shots.  I actually went out & bought one of those as a result.  I WAS young & impressionable.

Let's hope some more clips surface soon...

Another one in the series from Fairport - Country Pie.  Great electric guitar playing from Simon Nicol who decides for some reason to go and lie down at the back of the stage.  Martin Carthy, Tim Hart and Maddy Prior carry him back to play his last few strums! Cheesy
