Okie doke.  I have just searched and not found the following link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzBRrXCNkUU

Fairport miming Hanging Song on the Old Grey Whistle Test.  Unusual because it's Swarb, DM (his T-shirt rather gives it away), Peggy and Roger Hill.  I've never seen any footage of Roger Hill in action before.

Aye, it's a good one that....

Poor old Swarb looks like he must have an eye infection.  Or he's been up for 48 hours.  Can't think of any other explanation why his eyes look so puffy....   Roll Eyes

Sorry, Nick and sorry all. Guilty as charged. That link is to a song in which the main protagonist/narrator is Richard Thompson's beret.

I deliberately understated the last one, but maybe not this time:

John The Gun - Fairport, Birmingham Uni 1974 with Sandy and Trevor.

And really bad quality.

Pretty poor sound & vision on "Old Fashioned Waltz"; however, while listenong/watching, I spotted a link to a (sound only) Phil Lynott vocal on a Sandy tribute song. Intrigued, I gave it a listen - and while, IMO, it's no world-beater as a song, though perfectly pleasant, the acoustic guitar work reminded me somewhat of Fotheringay (the song). Which is no bad thing.

Three more clips from the Ashley Hutchings / Albion Band BBC TV special from 1979.  These are mainly from the 1978 Lark Rise production:
