Three more clips from the 1979 BBC Albion Band special.  All these feature the unrecorded line-up with Barry Dransfield, Melanie Harrold, Martin Simpson, Doug Morter, Andy Roberts, AH and DM.

Grin Grin Grin Thanks so much for all of these. I love Farewell Farewell; Barry Dransfield's voice is superb.

A BBC feature on Cropredy 1985:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyCwGqifp5A

I can but quote the notes -

"Things I'd suggest ignoring - 1. the video quality, 2. the commentary (count the inanities and inaccuracies).

For the rest, there's various musical excerpts from a rare Fairport line-up with Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg, Richard Thompson, Jerry Donahue (singing!), Dave Swarbrick, Dave Mattacks (keyboards) and Bruce Rowland, plus some interesting interviews.

Particularly interesting as they make no mention of reforming the band permanently later the same year, without Swarb."

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere - Nice version of RT with Fairport at Cropredy 1986(?)

Hand of Kindness - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv_2KMsgdI0

This looks like it's from a professional shoot of some kind.  Anyone know fro where this was taken?

Two years ago after my first (and only - so far) Cropredy I uploaded to YouTube all the videos I made with my daughter's nice new widescreen camera.  YouTube at the time didn't have widescreen viewing so I had to mess with them prior to the upload so that they'd look okay.  Then a year or so later, YouTube went widescreen, and made all my videos look wrong.  So I've begun the process of re-uploading them.  They look like they should - YouTube takes larger files now too, so the video AND sound quality is better.  Here's what I've done so far:

Lego Matty Groves - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_kZtcj14Rg

The six Leige and Lief lineup songs that I have:
Come All Ye - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBK_H9ydUTQ
Matty Groves - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNjKKZMKldM
The Deserter - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhe4HDragR8
Lark Medley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzBqID3Ig7M
Tam Lin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61GBQ_twkhU
Crazy Man Michael - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KUDduCFxUs

and four songs from the Woodford Halse warm-ups:
Walk a While - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uudlEw6Fb-0 (shouldn't there be a Chris While version of this called Walk a Chris While?  But I digress...)
Doctor of Physick - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7-6QsIcoTM
Jenny's Chickens / Mason's Apron - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEzRGI-Lpk0
Si Tu Dois Partir - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BlLPeo-YMk

I'll post more eventually...

There was discussion awhile back about where Cathy Lesurf was these days. Here, unfortunately - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3swVU4dwYrk  Undecided

Warning: this video contains a serious amount of cheese. Watch at your peril.

In what alternative reality did that seem like a good idea?  Sigh......  Sad

I'm not going to trawl back through every page to check if it's already been posted, but here's an interesting clip of Dirty Linen from '82; the lineup is Simon, Swarb, DM, Peggy, Trevor Lucas, Jerry Donauhue and Bruce Rowland.  Don't think I've seen them all play together before...

FWIW: Judicious use of the "Search" button on the top rail will reveal if a clip has been mentioned here before.

and this prompts me. Generally people are pretty good about this on Talkawhile but it's always worth a reminder all on the board...

If you post a link to an external site, such as a video clip, news item or a set of photos, please tell us what the link is!

Please write something about the link - who, what, when, where, etc. It's not always possible for everyone to click and view every link that gets posted and sometimes some links aren't appropriate to follow at certain times (e.g. from work). A few comments always help when deciding what links to follow and what to save for another time.

(and of course, following Andy's suggestion, comments are a great help when searching for clips)

Cheers
