I know this is getting a little further off topic but this is a terrific new version of Down In the Flood by Derek Trucks Band (he's Allman Brothers Band original drummer's nephew's former roommate):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwucDdQUtBk&annotation_id=annotation_48324&feature=iv
Maybe in my morning haze I am misreading something here but I don't know about any room mate but young Derek is the flat out nephew of Butch Trucks who, along with Jaimoe, still hold down the jobs they have had since the start with the Allman Brothers as their drummers. While I presumed the loss of Dickey Betts could not be good news ten years ago or so, last time I saw the Allmans a couple years ago they were firing every bit as well as they did at their alleged peak with Duane. But young Derek has been a member of the Allman Brothers for some years now, I first saw him at the age of 14 in Fitzgeralds roadhouse, Berwyn, Illinois.

There'll be a couple more FC clips of that era in the next day or 2 - but in the meantime:

Is there anyone in Aus who can find out if the Sandy & Trevor interviews from the "GTK" show in 1973 still exist as records show that they do? Philip's article below mentions this.

Cheers

Aha, that blogger got their info from a post I made on the Sandy Denny list  Smiley   and fair enough.

The clip certainly does exist and it's still mentioned on the official ABC site.  However, it's not commercially available from their library, as the FAQs state:

"Library Sales supplies the ABC's media collection to commercial operations and professional bodies only, including program makers, advertising agencies and broadcasters."

So unless they decide to put it on their YouTube channel http://au.youtube.com/user/EntertainmentOnABC - as a few GTK clips have been, though I think UK viewers were having trouble accessing those clips anyway - then I don't like the chances...

Honour & Praise live on Australian TV in 1986; a shorter version to fit in with time constraints and with Ric swapping from violin to piano partway through.

Actually, "that blogger" got his info from your post to Talkawhile in 2006!

It's a fair cop. I'll add an acknowledgement.

Ah right, it all gets to be such a blur.  Smiley  Don't mind if there's an acknowledgment or not, but thanks.

Here's a rarity : the Fairport Ceilidh Band live in 1989.  That's Nicol / Pegg / Allcock / Sanders / Mattacks plus Roger & Beryl Marriott, and Chris Leslie, pre his official joining.  Also with caller Hugh Crabtree.

I once went to a ceilidh in Fareham Arts Centre with Simon and Peggy in the band. I don't think the rest of this illustrious line up was there though.
