Jay Donnellan ex Love.
Oh no...where did you see this, Nick? Can't find anything anywhere.... Love Facebook page. The one Johnny Echols posts on I'm on the Love Revisited page and can't see anything there. There's probably another but I can't find it. I think I got a bit tired of Johnny's anti-Bernie postings during the primaries and muted him for a while... Anyway, very sad...Four Sail is a bloody fine album.

She died back in June or July I think. There's a Guardian obit here https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2021/aug/03/heather-jansch-obituary I met her once when the original Pentangle reunited at the Barbican - '82 I think. She'd just split up from Bert and I went with John's kid and his mum (John's ex-). If I recall (I was only 15) there were other exes too!

Sad news, I know he hadn't been particularly well, but he was great when the Who were in their early to late 70's pomp and was on good form in the 2013 and 2014 reunion tours

I'm fairly well 'read' in musical terms, but on every bookshelf there has to be some gaps. No idea why but they are a complete blank for me...don't honestly think I've ever consciously heard a note.

Goodness, I'm amazed! A good place to start would be the 1974 album "We've Got A Live One Here!" It's beyond fab.

This is a shame, I did enjoy his work. Blowed if I can remember the album I had, bought after hearing them on radio Caroline, It had "smoke that cigarette" on it.

I vaguely remember them from the OGWT, but can't remember anything about them except that Whispering Bob liked them

Ah yes, Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen. A distant echo sounds in my mind of a band seen once, many years ago.
RIP. George Frayne.

They played the Knebworth gigs supporting Led Zeppelin.

They played the Knebworth gigs supporting Led Zeppelin. Not quite true - that was The New Commander Cody Band
