It was the - unsuccessful - Lori, Don't Go Right Now single that got me interested and its parent album, Russians & Americans, that made me a fan. Not the most obvious entry point but I still love that album.
Yes, not the strongest of his albums, but it has its moments.
It's one of my favourites but then, it was my introduction to Al's music. Has to be the UK edition though. The US one dropped Lori, Don't Go Right Now and Rumours Of War for a couple of tunes I don't like quite as much.
