There's a spirit of fine vintage acoustic music in this thread at the moment.   I'm  playing  a lot of Bert Jansch back catalogue at the moment.  Surprising how many live recordings of Bert I've accumulated- one of  them turned out to be in 2 versions, single and double CD.   A 2006   gig in Sheffield.

Listening to… Those bands in the Cropredy lineup that I’ve not heard of. I do this every year as I like to know a bit about all the bands, and I enjoy them more live if I’m familiar with their music.

So far I’m really enjoying Barbara, formed by Brighton-based brothers Henry and John Tydeman.

They’re a bit quirky: visually like Sparks, musically like I don’t know who! Is it pop?

I shall be in the mosh for them anyway  Cool I might see some of you there.

I have a few Magna Carta albums (picked up a 2CD compilation a few years back that contained four albums), but I have never quite warmed to them.  Al Stewart, on the other hand, is a lifelong (well, for over 40 years anyway) favourite of mine.

She's very good, ain't she...  Both (completely different, one with talented 'youngsters', the other with talented oldies) versions on the Tonight programme are well worth YouTubing...
