Grrrrr.  Thankfully, I've just discovered that Pat Morgan of Datblygu pulled out yesterday of her support at tomorrow's Gwenno gig at Bedford Esquire (not sure about the rest of the tour).  As a result I don't have to drive for 7 hours and can get the money back on my hotel.

But if anybody fancies a dirt cheap ticket for Gwenno (she's playing two sets instead) drop me a line.

Ian McNabb tonight, Haircut 100 tomorrow and Sparko from Dr. Feelgood on Sunday.  Old school weekend.

Let me know how McNabb goes. Last time a friend saw him he spent half the time tuning his twelve-string and the other half getting the audience to sing the choruses.

I saw him on the 17th April at the West End Center Aldershot.  The name seemed familiar when i saw it in the Westie program but I didn't really know any thing about him or the band he had been in. There was some chat and some tuning, though neither seemed to be longer than other people i have seen at the same venue.  I had no expectations before hand, and enjoyed the evening.  Some of the songs did seem the same, mainly in the way the songs were sung/phrased. If he does come back to the Westie in the future i would most likely buy another ticket.

Not sure how long ago this was but generally he seems a lot less 'down in his cups' than he was a decade or so ago....
