Well, I received Full House For Sale this morning and have given it the once over. It's enjoyable if strangely not quite as essential as it really ought to be (no, I don't know what I mean either). Isn't it kind of a little weird that all of the photography is of a different concert to the one we're listening to?!

Well, I received Full House For Sale this morning and have given it the once over. It's enjoyable if strangely not quite as essential as it really ought to be (no, I don't know what I mean either). I had the same thought on both counts but I don't think it was ever going to be essential because the original album exists, as does Live At The LA Troubadour and other performances by that line up (on The Cropredy Box from 1997 for example). Meanwhile I have spent most of the day listening to Fragments: Time Out Of Mind Sessions 1996 - 97, the latest Bootleg Series release by Bob Dylan and most of the evening listening to reissues of the two albums by The Pale Fountains from the mid 80s. I didn't catch on to Michael Head and his brother until Shack and am only now working back. |

I had a similar thing happen last week. 3 weeks ago i picked up REM greatest hits with a few other CD's from the local BHF charity shop, mentioned it to a friend who said, "The IRS years double CD?".. I replied no just a single cd. Went back to the charity shop the following Friday and found the double IRS years plus REM live at Dublin, 2 cds and dvd, for £4.50 the pair. |

I can't remember which album I had of thiers but it had The Planet Earth Rock N Roll Orchestra on it and I remember it was much derided, but I enjoyed it. |

Oh, God...had no idea about this. We wondered past the Ritz on Saturday (after Mogwai on Fri) and were talking about the gigs we'd seen there and how much we liked the venue. I've only really discovered her in the last year but And in the Darkness...is an awesome album. Enjoy! |

I seem to remember the song mentioning 7" of pleasure from Grace sparking quite a lot of giggling in our 6th form at the time. |

I have just discovered The “Oh Brother “ podcasts of Steve and Paul Hanley about the wonderful and frightening world of The Fall. I’m about 7 shows in and thoroughly enjoying them. Lots of Fall related guests, members and people long associated with the much missed Mark E Smith. He was not appreciated😉

Diving down the rabbit hole that is the new Horslips box set.
Starting with all the previously unreleased discs and in particular the discs of RTE sessions, which are probably the ones I am least likely to return to. I love the anecdote about the origin of the band name, probably already common knowledge to everyone except me.

I spent about 5 hours this afternoon converting the 33 cds of the magnigicent Horslips box for the computer and I pod so I’ve not listened to the more unfamiliar stuff yet
With the 2 dvds to watch I reckon I’ve got weeks of fun to dig deep. No zen alligators though( a small gripe).
