Aaaargh.  I loathe Amazon and am desperately trying to avoid buying it from them.  If anyone knows of another retailer (preferably one that pays some UK taxes) getting even remotely close to that sort of price do please post details up here.  From speaking to a couple of record dealing mates, it's barely economic for them to retail at below £75, and probably £79.99 - Capitalism, innit.  Eurgh.  Sad

Currently £56.38 on Amazon for anyone on the margin of pressing the button.

Thanks for that. Ordered.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but here's a link to Mark Radcliffe's interview with RT & LT ahead of the box set release, interview starts around the 18 minute mark :

Nice interview.  My fave record shop in Wales (Tangled Parrot) is getting it to me in Hay for £70, which I suspect may be doing me a bit of a favour, so I'm very happy with that....

I’ve had a message stating there has been a delay and that delivery will now be between 2nd October and 4th November.
Is this just Amazon or is it general?

Aaah!  Just had the same message.  Bummer.  Someone posted a photo of their copy that had just arrived on the Fairporters FB page a couple of days ago.

I think that would be Simon with an advance copy. Why have they left it so late to tell us? It was still saying arriving today an hour ago.

I'll confess to going for the download option from evil A****n, and I'm listening to it now - but it's taken me the best part of an hour to download the files. A more arse about face download I've never experienced - bits were missing, in the wrong order and apparently there was a tech problem. An online chat later to an A****n agent who put the files in my Music Library, so I've downloaded the files in blocks, checked the running order against an online Universal/Island records tracklisting, and still 2 tracks are missing. Fortunately, they're alternative live versions I probably won't miss. All done now, filed in the correct order and backed up, time for breakfast...

Ironically, as I type, the track playing is "Amazon Queen (Crash The Party)" !  Grin

I ordered two copies, one as a birthday present for somebody else. Both allegedly dispatched yesterday and being delivered today.

No, it was someone called something McB - couldn't help thinking that the McBastards always seem to get in first somehow!  Grin

I have sent an “Angry of Bognor” message to Amazon, I’ll let you know if I receive any explanation.

From Amazon?

I just looked on their site, and it isn't listed as for sale by them any more.  Very odd...

I think I have been lucky on this occasion. Amazon do seem to have this problem routinely with boxed sets. It happened with one of the Tears For Fears boxes earlier in the year. I pre-ordered but delivery got significantly delayed, though it did not particularly bother me as long as I got it, which I did.

I hope the same thing does not happen with the next TFF and Tom Petty boxes next month.

Just had confirmation whilst writing this that mine is arriving between 11.30 and 1.30 today.

Its on Spotify if that's any use to anyone? Listening to Strange Affair now

I regret not ordering the box set when it was around £60. Looks like its in the region of £100 now (at least on Amazon resellers).
