Tonight: Paul Simon at Bass Concert Hall in Austin!

This is the first of a three-night stand. He got a rave review for the first show of this brief tour, but I would have gone regardless. He and Dylan are the titans of American popular folk and I count myself fortunate to have seen them as many times as I have. They’re both 83 and still pumping out new work. Very excited for tonight. As an added bonus, his lovely wife Edie Brickell is part of the show.

Feast of Fiddles tonight in Cardiff. When I bought the ticket I had no idea that it would clash with PSG vs Villa in the Champions League. Oh well, I'll watch the highlights later.

Unfortunately I'm a bit over-gigged out and exhausted (especially with a move next week)  so I have two spare tickets for the return of the mighty SHACK at Liverpool Olympia (first gig in 15 years) tomorrow (Fri 25th) night.  It sold out in a few days.  Available at cost (£81.50).  PM me or email me at davidmjs at gmail dot com.

Please share with anyone who might be interested.

Tonight, maybe, Billy Idol / Joan Jett at the Moody Center. I’ve only seen Billy playing Cousin Kevin for Tommy at the Universal Amphitheater in 1989. I think I should check him out.

Alas, I'm sidelined by a toothache. It's sparing me the ordeal of dealing with the Moody Center, but I would like to see Billy Idol somewhere, someday, at a more intimate venue.

Insha'Allah.  Birkenhead and Hebden Bridge matinee on the cards.  Looks like they're plotting something big for the NE as well during the year by the sounds of what they've written about this tour.

Wednesday, Tom Jones at ACL Live!

I'll be asking What's New Pussycat? for the next few days. And yes, they are still tossing underwear on the stage, for some reason.
