I have just come back from the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival with the Barry Male Voice Choir. Four concerts and a competition in 5 days. We were all knackered but it was really enjoyable. We had the pleasure of seeing some amazing choirs from all over the world, including this South African School choir, who won the junior competition. Amazing.

Mike and I were staying with friends in Cornwall last weekend. We knew the BMVC (of which Mike is a member but was not performing that weekend) were in Cornwall as well, but had no idea where or what their timetable was. So it was quite a nice surprise when we got to the Eden Project to see some of them visiting during their spare time! Plus some friends from a Cardiff Choir, who sang a rousing version of Men of Harlech. Lots of people wiping their eyes after that one  Cry Smiley

The Rutles filmed last night at their gig in Morecambe playing Get Up and Go and the last part of Abbey Road. Earlier they had played a lovely version of All Things Must Pass in tribute to the 5th Rutle, George Harrison with Neil Innes on uke.

No reason for posting this, other than it's a great song, sung by one of the best singers this country has ever produced (and a decent band, too!). Blind Faith, 'Can't Find My Way Home'

For any Cure fanatics out there (and I can't believe there's nobody in our 3000+ membership), here's last night's immaculate 30th anniversary rendition of 1989's "Disintegration" album live from Sydney Opera House : *

www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9uSPf9WDbw&t=5179s

* "Disintegration" proper starts around the 54 minute mark.

(Almost certainly) Not going to happen, sadly...I doubt we'll ever see Julianne on a stage again.  But, hey, never say never, I guess...

One for the Prog fans - when I first heard about this, I expected it to be an appalling car crash - a 10 year old girl singing 'Supper's ready'!

As it turns out, she doesn't make too bad a job of it.

Jim said what I didn't want to. There's something very uncomfortable about it to me. I Googled some other links about her, and i just wonder who the real prog fanatic is/are, and I'm guessing there's an overzealous parent  somewhere in the mix.
