Bridgewater Hall?  They're having a laugh, aren't they?

Sorry, and I'm desperate to see them but the thought of sitting in there with, what, 100 others doesn't seem very appealing....

i suppose its the bridgewater because the sandy Denny tribute concert a couple of years ago sold well, if not out, i'm not sure

well i'm going, tickets booked

And we will be joining you Jim,meet for a pint first? As predicted though tickets aren't exactly flying out.  Roll Eyes

Britons protection or peveril of the peak, both are yards from the Bridgewater about an hour before?

The Briton's protection is the nearest to the hall, it is literally across the road from it, so thats probably the best bet.
We must confirm nearer the time and all are welcome.

Just got the latest Nettlebed mailing through, and see there is a Fotheringay concert now booked there on 7th December, the day after GBFF.  It is confirmed on their website, along with a concert in Exeter on Sat 12th Dec.

Definitely up for that one!

Finally received and listened to my Fotheringay box set.

I managed to cancel my Amazon order and buy it at a discount from Grooves, and it has been worth every penny.  I am so pleased to have the full Rotterdam concert (I absolutely love "The Way I Feel" and I finally have a live soundboard recording of it), and four professionally recorded and filmed live performances to boot.  I already had everything else, but I don't feel the usual sinking sensation associated with buying a Deluxe CD package...

Looking at the seating plan on the Bridgewater's website I would say around half the seats in the centre stalls are sold, but hardly any in the side blocks and only the first couple of rows in the circle, maybe around 250-300 in total out of a possible 2400.

A review of the gatefolded set from The Quietus; http://thequietus.com/articles/17855-nothing-more-the-collected-fotheringay-review
Nothing new for seasoned Fotheringay-watchers, but a neat introduction to those new to the club.

Here's a review which talks about what we already have versus what's new, focussing on the mastering quality:-

Anyone here been to Under the Bridge, the London venue, before?

"UTB is a General Admission standing venue. However, there are 7 booth areas at the back around the room and 20 bar stools around the edge of the dance floor. We advise that if you want a seat to arrive early when the doors open."
http://underthebridge.co.uk/faq/

Considering that most of the audience will be on the wrong side of 50 (including yours truly), this doesn't sound too promising.

I've not heard that they produce any additional seating - I suspect there'll be a queue at doors. I know I'll be in it....
