I seem to be on it, as I get emails every so often about it. What is it? How does it work? I've only just worked out Facebook.  Embarrassed

It's a business site, rather than a social friendship site. If you aren't looking to build a career or are looking for work, it's not a necessary place for you to be.. You can cancel your account quite easily.

With all this talk about next year's Saturday festival opener, have I missed discussion, wild speculation, theories and suggestions about the new album they're recording?

I see that the official feed is stating that Peggy's big brother, John has died (sorry, 'passed away' in the ubiquitous but meaningless manner we are supposed to describe these things nowadays).  He was, gulp, 82.  I have long distant memories of going into a pub somewhere once (mid 80's) on the way back from Cornwall only to find it was run by a Pegg.  The memory is so distant I'm not even sure it's true.  Anyone know if John ran a pub?

RIP John - He did a lot of work for me around the house. He'll be much missed as a friend. His Christmas cards were legendry.

I just read on FairportConvention dot com about the passing of John Pegg (Dave's brother).  He transitioned on Nov. 16 (2 weeks after Dave's birthday) to whatever awaits on the ledge and beyond.  My deepest condolences to the extended Pegg & Fairport families.

Lousy timing on my part: unaware of what was going on in his life at the time, I sent a jovial e-mail to Dave Pegg on the morning of the 16th -- the first time I'd reached out to him in many months.  Now I understand why he's not responded in his usual astonishingly-rapid manner.

Rest in Peace, John Pegg.  I never met you, but I'll toast you next time I hold a beverage.

But we are not ultimately destined to be tigered whereas we are all going to be, at some point, deaded
