RIP Marty in the 60's Surrealistic Pillow, Baxters, Crown of Creation, Volunteers etc were hardly ever off the turntable. Particularly liked the boy/girl vocals, it was probably that that led me to Fairport (and Merry Hell of course).

One of the best runs of albums ever, that little lot...

Never heard them.  I suppose I should do something about that really.

There's so much music though, isn't there?  I'm sure everyone has a list of well known bands that they've never heard a whole album why.  Until fairly recently, my list also included Led Zeppelin.  Shocking, I know.

I'm  a relatively new convert to the Airplane, Jules, and even I would say you should hear at least Surrealistic Pillow.  Cool

The anthology 2400 Fulton Street was one of my first CD buys 30+ years ago after enjoying them on a recording of the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock. There is much to like, not least their take of David Crosby's Triad but I never got around to picking up their individual albums.

If you can find a set...the Jefferson Airplane Loves You box set is a good 'un.

Otis Rust is apparently not dead, just in case you thought he was.

All very baffling - his death does now appear to be official:

Unless someone hacked the official website, the announcement was made by his wife and seems official.

For £14 you can pick up the “Original Album Classics” set.
This has the first four studio albums.
Unfortunately the fifth album is the live Bless it’s Pointed Lirtle Head” album rather than “Volunteers “
Well worth getting and an absolute bargain.

Oh remember seeing him at the Festival Hall in London many years ago supporting John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers on one of JM’s birthday shows.

Bonus tracks too, by the looks of it.  This looks like the way to go.  Thanks.
