off topic i know, but the resurrection of this thread made me think about members Ive not heard of for a very long time... I hope they are all doing well.

I was thinking about our young melodeon player Ollie King the other day as I came across the album he released back in 2014. But you can find him on Facebook and he's still playing by the looks of things.

I think he's fairly busy selling very expensive modern houses, but he does do a little amateur playing still - and performing with the Hammersmith Morris Men.  Both his albums were exquisite - I listened to them both the other week actually.

Agreed, but I did understand why they became popular for a time. Funny thing is I don’t think I’ve seen one in photos or on stage by anyone since about 1991. Figure someone would bring it back like the mellotron or the Keytar in a retro mode! Nice clip though!.

Even JJ Burnel of the Stranglers abandoned his Fender for a stick bass back in the 80s. From an interview in Guitar World talking about their Feline album...

"Bass-wise, I stopped using the Fender. I was tired of people talking about the bass sound of the Stranglers, I just wanted to blend in. I used a dodgy Yamaha and it didn't last very long. I punch my guitars a lot just to get them to resonate – you do a chord and then hit the body. This particular one, I hit it and it just fell apart.”
