Quite a nice job on that promo film, though it would have been good for them to have edited in a bit of Ashley and shown less Peggy for accuracy's sake.

The Farewell Farewell film.  I thought "promo film" would make it clear which clip I meant.  Sorry.

Eh? That was filmed at Much Hadham, wasn't it? Was Ashley there?

No, but neither was Sandy and they edited her into the film.

Hehe....this looks like my shed, even have the dartboard in the similar position!!

Songs From The Shed are accumulating a truly marvelous set of sessions! I forsee them becoming a must-do thing for every acoustic act. (OT slightly but I was very pleased to see that early Shed performers were The Hut People!  Grin )

Cheers

I hadn' t seen these Little Hadham film sequences before so forgive me if they have been up here. Anyway I found them rather charming, when I found them tonight.

May be the rock god but one comment says

Just gone up, a few 'never before seen' videos of Fairport acoustic (SN, DP, RS, MA) live in Adelaide, Australia in 1996.   All were taken from the upper balcony using the theatre's video camera so it's a little distant and all - but still a bit of a snapshot of that time in the band's history.

I have posted two Fairport clips of Crazy Man Michael  - http://www.salutlive.com/2011/07/song-of-the-day-fairport-convention-crazy-man-michael.html - in a "Song of the Day" series I am running at Salut! Live (and which I started in complete ignorance of the Jon Boden project). One is what I take to be an amateur recording from Cropredy 2007 and is either misleading, because of technical limitations, or reveals imperfections in Chris While's delivery that I do not remember from being at the festival and her.

But I wanted something from that event, which stands in my memory as the most enjoyable concert I have attended, so would appreciate suggestions of better clips. I have been away from here for a  while and have not yet had time to go through the previous 50+ pages of this thread, which may well contain the answer.

Hi, Amateur Recorder here.  That clip is actually one I uploaded to YouTube right after that festival, but here is another version of the same clip with the corrected aspect ratio, and marginally better sound, which I uploaded a couple years later:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KUDduCFxUs

There was a Mike Harding radio show at one point with the soundboard versions of the L&L set - don't know if that's still available online anymore, but it was at some point since that's the only way for me to have heard it.   Maybe it will clarify things, if you can find it.

All of the "better" versions of what I recorded from the L&L portion of that festival, along with what I had from one of the warm-up shows, are also up on YouTube.  Never got around to all of the others...

Sam: that's great - I will replace it and add an explanation in the next few days.

Anyone ever seen any clips of the Tipplers Tales line-up?

And/or a clip of Jack O'Rion.

A fabulously rocky version of Matty Groves. The uploader is unsure of the year and is asking for help - any ideas?

I'm pretty sure they're from 1987, when the band supported (or more like 'morphed into') Jethro Tull in the US.  As far as I know the only US dates they did in '85 were with Swarb in the spring...his last dates prior to his last Cropredy (as a member).
