As Jude says elsewhere, YouTube now features our official promotional video, edited from footage shot for the DVD. Our thanks to Mike Rowbottom and Iconic for their help with this project. The more people who see the YouTube clip, the better it will promote our festival and the full DVD. The Beeb are doing their bit to help, this from the R2 F&A website  " Fans of Fairport's Cropredy Convention, and those who haven't visited and wonder what it's like, may be interested to know that the band has put together a mini-documentary about its popular annual festival. The nine-minute video gives an authentic taste of the event, focusing on the colourful Cropredy scene along with a few music clips.
Filmed in the concert arena, campsites, backstage area and around the village, the footage captures the festival's buzz and friendly atmosphere as experienced by the festival-goers: last year's attendees may even spot themselves in the film! There are also interviews with Cropredy guests including Seth Lakeman, Jools Holland, Lulu, Mike Harding, Geoff Hughes and Frank Skinner.

mmm indeed nice Cricket whites! Yes much better than the abominations that pass for cricket sweaters these days. Still wearing a genuine cream coloured lambswool one. Sahme that it seems to shrink in my kitbag each winter. |

He played it at Chesham last night ... for the first few songs, anyway. It sounded good and I would have liked him to play it some more. It is rather large and he kept adjusting his position - I don't know if he found it uncomfortable  |

as a relation of many bass players ,i am led to believe that while they sound nice, acoustic basses are pigs to play because theres nowhere to rest the fingers/thumb like there is on electric basses

I thought the electric bass sounded much better - the acoustic didn't produce a very even sound across the range of pitch.
