And my using the same address a second time also worked - confirmation and download code now received.

Thanks for all the help, everyone.

This is a really interesting piece from an insider. https://thebluemoment.com/2020/09/22/those-hard-luck-stories/

Fantastic piece.  Thanks for the link.

I'll second that

As far as I can tell HLS has been removed from sale at Amazon?

Hmm, ' currently unavailable ' is a bit cryptic, amazon language for not committing itself.  I prefer it when they say 'we are working hard to get this item back in stock. 😎

This morning, it wasn't even there at all...i.e. there was no listing.

It's strange - the MP3 listing is there but half the tracks are unavailable.

A fair chunk of the tracks don't appear to have ever been available digitally on any platform.  The live 1977 songs spring to mind.

As you can imagine because of the deluge of downloaded WAV copies (due to their manufacturing balls up), it must be about the most readily available high quality digital downloadable box set of all time.....it's literally everywhere it shouldn't be.

I ordered mine weeks ago, and it's just now been shipped from the UK. Based on this string, I assume I'm going to receive a defective product. Ugh.

Well I've finally had a chance to listen to the set - unfortunately when my box was delivered my cd player turned up its toes & died on me after many years of long & faithful service.  I now have a new cd player set up & I've had a chance to listen to the whole thing.  I have to report that there are absolutely no technical issues with any of the discs in my set - I've been very lucky I guess.  As expected there's a lot of wonderful music in there.  What has struck me on my first listen is how much better 'First Light' & 'Sunnyvista' sound - I have the ryko cd versions that briefly escaped a few years back & the new versions in the set sound do much better.

Hope that all of you who've had issues with some of the discs sent to you get matters resolved so you can enjoy the set as much as I am!

Has anyone anywhere had any info about replacement discs yet?

That's a bummer. But you may be lucky. The thread on the Hoffman forum has comments from some people who've had no issues.

I have just had an email asking  for my details in order that replacement CDs can be sent.
The email states that the cut off date for having the discs replaced is Sunday 15th November.

To be fair, it hasn’t taken as long as I thought it might. Not that I’ve actually got them yet!
