Not completely impossible but much more likely to be Eliza...! I've got my fingers crossed for you though Grin

I'd have thought Eliza was a given, but yes!

Suzanne Vega and Katherine Priddy at Brighton Dome on Tuesday.

Mainly going to see Katherine Priddy, but the headliner is none too shabby!

Last night at the West End Centre Aldershot Newer Woman-Rush.   In the gallery room and table seating (There was another gig on in the main room).  I had no idea what it was going to be like, and was pleasantly surprised.  I think without checking I only have one Rush album and that is 2112, none of which made an appearance last night.   Show started with just one acoustic guitar(plugged into the PA) and Leoni Kennedy playing and singing.  There were a number of bass guitars on the stage and on came Eoin de Paor (from Moving Picture a rush tribute band) to play bass. He was at one time her music teacher at school.

Again i did not recognize any songs/tunes, but they were all very good and apparently interpretations of Rush songs based on the guitar parts, there was also some other sounds coming from the stage, possibly prerecorded or samples in the back ground for some tunes.  All in all an enjoyable night, and if she/they are any where local in the future I  would go and see them again.

Steve Knightly tonight, at The Gate, Cardiff. He's with his 'Winter Yards Band', which I haven't seen before, so should be interesting.

I have tried (not seen them live, mind) but I'm not a fan of Kavus's Gong - despite loving his solo work/Utopia Strong/Cardiacs etc etc.  Henge are supposed to be awesome though - got several friends who are very excited by this combination of acts.... Let us know how you get on.

My upcoming gig is, gulp, Toyah and Adam Ant at the weekend.

I was impressed at how authentically Gonglike they sounded. Fine musicians all.

Adam should be interesting from all the clips Ive seen.. I feel him cancelling a gig i was supposed to attend this time last year was a lucky escape!

These (ours) are tickets from that (ultimately) wholly cancelled tour.

Clips I've seen have been decent.  He's been immensely strengthened by having Jon Poole (former guitarist with Cardiacs) on bass and vocs.  I'm also looking forward to to finally see Toyah live.
