From Suzi:

One of the members of the touring party for Saving Grace has been contacted by NHS Track and Trace and is now having to self-isolate.
This unfortunately means that the performance due to take place at Town Hall on Monday 2nd August 2021 will no longer be possible.
We are working with B:Music to find an alternative date. Please wait to be contacted by B:Music box office for further details
Thanks in advance for your understanding, and our apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Replaced by The Staves at Underneath The Stars tomorrow. Gutted for the people there it was the sole reason I was tempted and it's chucked it down with rain for most of the day to insult to injury.

I assumed that once he got another project going (in this case the album with Alison Krauss) this would, like Priory of Brion before it, die a speedy death.  It seems not.  We will see....

This seems to suggest it might:

https://ledzepnews.com/2021/10/17/robert-plant-played-a-surprise-show-with-saving-grace/

"Plant’s decision to perform with Saving Grace again, just a month before his second album with Alison Krauss will be released, is a potential sign that he intends to return to playing with the band after he finishes touring with Krauss next year.

LedZepNews reported in August that Plant seemingly has big plans for Saving Grace after he made the rare decision to trademark the band’s name for music and merchandise."

We're in Warrington to do the family Christmas visit the week before this, otherwise I'd sneak off for a few hours and go!

The Parr Hall is a great venue, saw Fairport there back in 2006, worst I've ever seen them. It was clear they weren't getting on at the time, or at least Peggy and Simon weren't. First time I saw PJ Wright too - he was great!

I "think" it was the Parr Hall where I saw the Albion Band (with Cathy LeSurf, JP Rasle & co).

(My maternal grandmother's family - the Holmes (Holmeses?) - came from Warrington).

I have been to the Parr Hall twice and it was a good venue, however, the last time was a good while ago. We struggled to find anywhere to get a bite to eat before the gig and had to settle unfortunately for a Macdonalds. That was the day before it was blown up by the IRA!!

Sad  Sad my sister-in-law's office overlooked the square where it all happened, and lost windows. Luckily she was out on a job as her desk was right next to the window.

Blimey the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield… used to go and see Fairport there for years, they stopped using that venue a few years ago.

Fancy Planty gigging there! 🤣
