Viv & I have bought our tickets.  Grin

ooh lovely  Grin

For those people who like to have their music on vinyl, Flow and Change is now available through Plane Groovy. It looks fabulous, I haven't dared listen to it as I will probably scratch it  Shocked

Gorgeous photo Jude  Smiley

Tix for the gig at Farnsfield Acoustic are £15 from me...

It's not really in the north, the east Midlands and very accessible from the M1 folks!

I wonder if I might enquire, Dame Judy, if we will ever be able to legitimately hear the work you did with Simon House some years back. I recall "I Still Remember" being particularly lovely and I happen to know that a recording exists... http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/3440862/-/Product.html  Roll Eyes

Sadly Skirky, Simon has refused me permission to use any of those demo recordings ever, as he wishes to, at some stage, use the music for his own compositions. So I am afraid the answer is probably no Sad

I will re-use the words though and with the help of equally talented musicians find an even lovelier tune for that particular song. My words are neve lost, just occasionally they have to be recycled  Smiley

Just to let you know that I have written the lyrics to 2 songs on this Sleepyard album and sung on three of them.

It's available from Amazon.com as a physical copy and as yet only as a download from Amazon.UK, but will be available as a physical Cd soon

And also in other news, Richie Unterberger, renowned writer of books about rock, folk rock and other musical stuff, has a newly updated version of one of his earlier books, Jingle Jangle Morning It's available from iBooks and Kindle  and I have contributed to the most recent version . And it's a jolly good read  Grin
(and it's just been pointed out that I'm on the cover and I hadn't noticed!)

It's a bit late to start listening now. I shall play it in the car on the way to work tomorrow.

Cheers

And before I forget and it's too late... I have news of two more gigs...

The first one is on Sunday 31st August at the Watermargin WMJazz, (although I believe they are changing the name to Jazz at the Margin)

Anyway it's an afternoon thing starting at 3pm and finishing about 5pm and we will be celebrating the launch of the album Judy Dyble Live at the WM, which has been on sale for a little while but nevermind :-)

Having premiered the performance of the entire Harpsong in Norwich, we will be repeating the experience which again will include the playing of the Prog Sopranino Recorder, by yours truly. Ahem!  Grin

http://clubwm.co.uk/jazz/31st-august-judy-dyble/

And at the end of September, on Sunday the 28th, I will be playing with a rather reduced and more acoustic band (on account of the venue being a bit titchy) at Manor Farm Musical Frivolities Parlour Concert at Ardley in Oxfordshire

These concerts are by invitation and to be invited you will need to contact them by email - details are below. It is a wonderful venue. I shall be singing in the milking parlour which has very comfortable sofas and all that. Have a look at the photos :-)

http://www.mfmf.co.uk/

I hope to see some of you at one of the other of these gigs. I think they may be the last I will do this year...

Great news!

Hey Jude, any chance of a work-in-progress tracklisting for your anthology, or is it still too hush hush?

Nice to see in the latest Uncut magazine that Jude's album is rated equally with the new Floyd and Neil Young albums. Nice one.

The infamous Anthology- Judy Dyble -Gathering The Threads (Fifty Years of Stuff) which has been in gestation for the last seven years and is a 3CD set of all the oddities and strangenesses which I have been involved in and which have turned up over the years..

Including tracks from Judy and the Folkmen in 1964 via the very odd MirrorMaster Ad, through bits of Swordfish and Sand Snowman to a Jackie McAuley song which hasn't been heard before (unless you were in a pub in South London where I sang it with him once!)

Some of the 250 copies will arriving tomorrow and once I have checked them they will be sent out.

It's now available for pre-order from my shop
