Because your audience may be out voting?

Yes, I *know* you can vote before you go to work (well, some can), but it just makes it less complicated if you avoid election day.

I'm pretty sure most people could fit in a voting opportunity between leaving work and going out for the evening. Fairly sure, anyway.
(and assuming they're at work in the first place). I'm assuming the group themselves will be taking advantage of their postal vote on this occasion.

Of course....how long does it take?!  Max of 10 mins travel time (unless you are really in the wilds) and 5 minutes to vote.  And let's face it, only half of us are going to vote in any case.  is it time for my compulsory voting rant again yet?  No?  Oh, ok then.....  Grin

The date isn't moveable.. we are offered a date and fit round the band.

At least I know the venue isn't to be used s a polling station  Grin

Yes, that *would* become a problem.

Polling Stations are legally able to cancel all other bookings on a hall....

For anyone wondering, Fairport won't be playing Haddenham again this year.  Sad
