Hi all,

Just noticed this, this andthis on YouTube. One new, two old songs. As is often the case with Ralph, though, even the old ones those have slight changes and variations that keep them fresh after so many years.

All well worth watching/listening.

Naomi

PS Hope you're all well - haven't been on here much recently, sorry. I was pretty disappointed when Ralph's Celtic Cousin's tour ignored North Wales - something he's been doing for the past 10 years or so, I don't know why! That, plus the announcement of a general reduction in touring (though understandable) left me feeling a  little sad and fed-up about anything Ralph-related for a while. It's impossible for me to stay away from his music for long though  Wink

Three videos posted recently, intriguingly by someone named “Ralph McTell”.

A video accompaniment to the Unknown Soldier

  Slip Shod Tap Room Dance
And

Mist on the Estuary  which I thought was called Milk for One
The last two being live at Laugharne  with a camera angle which probably puts the camera on stage.

Hi Joanna,

Nope,  it's gone.  It was Ralph's recording of the Unknown Soldier set to the original footage of the ceremony of the Unknown Soldier.  The other has reappeared under the title I'm familiar with , Milk for one.  Use the link on John's post.
Hopefully The Unknown Soldier will return at some point too.

Happy New Year,
Carl & Naomi

Thanks, tak Henrik.

I can imagine the producers planning this, " Hey, I know, lets punish these old folkies by taking out all the chairs and making them sit on uncomfortable blocks and we'll surround Ralph so some only see the back of his head".
