You can choose one track from each FC studio album to make up your perfect set list / compilation - any offers? I'll kick off with: Time Will Show the Wiser Meet on the Ledge Genesis Hall Tam Lin Sir Patrick Spens Journeyman's Grace Sailors Aplhabet Hens March ... Hexamshire Lass Restless Cropredy Capers Jams O'Donell Widow of Westmoreland Hiring Fair Sigh Beg Sigh Mor Red and Gold Claudy Banks Home is Where the Heart Is Dangerous Wood and the Wire My Love is in America Waiting for the tide to Come In That at Cropredy would make me happy Jackdaw

My choice, following the same rules, would be: The Lobster The Lord is in this Place A Sailor's Life Crazy Man Michael Sloth Journeyman's Grace Cell Song The Plainsman Polly on the Shore One More Chance Sandy's Song The Bonny Bunch of Roses Honour and Praise Portmeirion Dark Eyed Molly The Wounded Whale Closing Time John Gaudie The Dancer I Wandered by a Brookside Some Speciial Place Also, if we allow Old, New, Borrowed, Blue (about half studio), then I'd choose Lalla Rookh from the studio section. Thant's my choices at the moment, but it could easily be different another day.

And as an afterthought, I'd have "Now be Thankful" as it's on history, but not on any others until XXXV (At least in their original form).

Keith... perfect, apart from The Crowd. I think I would replace it with "I wandered by a brookside" or "The light of day".

I don't doubt you're right Jen - The Crowd's the only one I know from XXXV, but as my Dad has the album then it deserves a listen. K.

I'd agree with that. I had a quick flick through the albums this morning, and many of my choices would have been different to yesterday. e.g Honour & Praise versus Hiring Fair versus Wat Tyler. I could choose any one of those for Gladys Leap

Time Will Show the Wiser Nottamun Town A Sailor's Life Come All Ye Doctor of Physick Wizard of the Worldly Game The Plainsman Bring 'Em Down One More Chance When First Into This Country Run Johnny Run Jack O'Rion Bird From the Mountain Red and Gold Claudy Banks Slipjigs and Reels Lalla Rookh John Gaudie Wood and the Wire My Love is in America I'm Already There
Really a tough choice on most albums to get down to choosing only one. I skipped Babbacombe Lee as it still seems like you need the whole thing to make any of it as good as it really is.

What a challenge! I don't have anything close to a full set of studio albums, but here's my "effort" anyway... I tried to stick to the original content of the albums, apologies if I've accidentally included any bonus tracks...
Portfolio Meet On The Ledge Medley - Lark In the Morning etc Flatback Caper Angel Delight Sailors Alphabet To Althea From Prison The Rose Hip Slip Jigs & Reels Don't Leave Too Soon The Crowd Westward
Yes, I know, there's a HUGE gap in the middle there... Xmas CD wish-list is with all family, relations, friends and casual acquaintances...
