Not only that, but on CUYUGA's website, FC are top of the list of bands mentioned that they have supported.

Embarrassed to admit I hadn't heard of them but will correct that deficiency with a CD purchase Smiley

Don't be embarrassed, nobody's heard of us. Wink As far as a cd purchase is concerned, well sorry, you might have to wait for that one. We plan on going into the studio in Oct. or Nov. for a new cd. We have done stuff in the past but with lineup changes & that, we have a very different sound now compared to back then. Now that our line-up has been the same for a couple years & have plenty of new songs written we'll have another go at recording.
As far as Cropredy, definitely would be a dream come true, not only to go, but to play and be in ENGLAND? Too much for words.

So at least one of the criteria for getting on the bill is "having already supported Fairport"Huh That should inspire a thoroughly innovative approach to the whole show!

Vibrant little thread despite its crass irrelevance... he he he

Suggest you send your CD to Peggy when it comes out and get a UK tour organised. Post on here as well so we can all buy it. Good luck.

Not quite - but the band do need to have seen you 'in action', and that's definitely one way of getting their attention!

My Dream list for a cropredy festival would include,

Fairport
Steeleye Span
Jethro Tull
Pentangle
Tannerhill Weavers
Martin Carthy
Ashley Huchings , Albion Band, original line ups
Led Zep

There again it would be real nice to have the likes of

Deep Purple
Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Uriah Heep

It'd certainly keep the crowds down, nice and easy access to the bar, no queues at the pastie stand - good call.... Wink

Something tells me the Bar would need to encompace the whole length of one side of the field, me thinks.

I'magine Fairport Headlining that lot Cool

It was the thought of False folk music from the likes of the Spinners...lol

Actually the Detroit spinners are not such a bad idea.

You've not by any chance heard the New Quo album, its hardly a quo record, more folkie than Boogie woogie, if you ask me...

Perhaps someone ought to ask the Quo along to Cropredy.

Just been listening to a recent live Quo set from Swedish radio & it's not bad.

Go to:

http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/p4/programsidor/index.asp?ProgramID=488

and click on "Lyssna till senaste P4 Live" on the left.

Reckon they'd do a decent job of Thurs or Friday night.
