Trad Arrr bow out after 22 years

So Trad Arrr played a storming final gig in the Mill Arts in Banbury tonight. They were on top form for what was an emotional farewell. Their musicianship is sublime, and the warm and witty interplay among them points to an obvious love and respect for each other.

IMHO they kept the true spirit of folk rock alive. I think they only played the main Cropredy stage once, though for some like myself they became an integral part of the whole Cropredy experience.

That's just my random thoughts thrown down - what does anyone else think?

Agree 100%!
First met PJ and Guy at a Little Johnny England gig at Lawrence Sherriff School in Rugby about thirty years ago and have followed the various incarnations (TradArrr, the Projects) ever since.
Was fortunate enough to be at the launch of Cautionary Tales on Cromer Pier( they ran out of cds!)....was it really 21 years ago?
One gig which remains in the memory was the haul up the hill with Marion's Mum and Dad to the Convent in Stroud...money issues meant the shuttle bus was cancelled.........the band is probably still waiting to be paid.......

Very fond of Trad Arrr - in many ways they put the rock back in folk rock, and their albums are excellent.

However, it's not quite over. They're booked to play one last gig at Wessex Acoustic in Blandford Forum on 29th January 2027.
 
Can't remember whose Facebook page I read this on, but this gig was booked before they decided the Banbury gig would be their "last", and they're going to honour the booking.

Cautionary Tales released 1st June 2015......but they were gigging for a while before this obviously, so 12 years isn't far out..
