TAW has been up and down for days now and I haven't been able to get Colin's attention, so I would suggest that if you want to stay in contact with other TalkAWhile folk you take a look for them on Facebook and, if not already"Friends" with them, send friend requests.

This nay sound extreme but really I think the end may well be nigh.

If anybody wants me, I'm on FB or Bluesky (David Johnston-Smith) and my email is davidmjs at gmail dot com

I obviously hope this isn't the end, but it does feel rather like it doesn't it. Let's hope not, but it's been a gas... Smiley

Thanks Andy, that will be a sad day. Haven’t had any issues this end but it’s been inevitable for a while!

Suggest people just join Fairporters on Facebook. A lot of names  should pop up.

It would be such a shame to lose TAW, but I think Colin lost interest a while ago. That is sad as he’s created something which has enhanced and changed peoples’ lives, enabled friendships and built a community.
It would be good if it could be passed onto someone

Oh this would be very sad 😥.

I hope Colin is ok and this won’t happen.

I joined when there were only about 300+ and now … how many?

I have learned so much, about music and people..

I have made many, now life long, friends all of which were TAW members loving the same and similar  music.

Love to all of you xxx

I seem to have fixed it. (Script running away, but it will come back)

This is a very old server that I haven't migrated from because:
TalkAwhile uses ancient forum software that I heavily patched so can't be ported.
There is an old PERL script that handles some CCTV and I've forgotten how it works.
There are a couple of email addresses that do need to be ported.

So this server limps on. Much like I do.
