Not perfect. Never claimed to be.

When I was in hospital recently, the local WiFi wouldn't let me access TalkAWhile.

I just got the message

Forbidden
.

I was able to access TAW by reverting to EE 5G and turning off WiFi.

It's come to my attention that others have been getting similar messages when trying to access TAW through public WiFi.

Is this a tightening down of the Not Secure messages seen previously as HTTPS access doesn't work with TAW, or something new?

I seem to remember a rather grumpy thread a few years back about this where I raised the issue, and Colin got rather defensive about how much it would cost to change to https.  It is what it is...there's always workarounds, but I do know some people that literally wouldn't come on here because they regard such sites as 'unsafe'.

The former, I reckon.

I have them quite often, and this is on my own private WiFi. I say I want to go there anyway, and it still won't let me, until I start again. Always successful the second time thus far.

This is happening to me randomly, on usual home wifi and also on my phone when on the network…then coming back…Normally just click through the not secure warning.
