If you need it, get it while you can. Mine only cost about a fiver, new.

Can't see it cheaper than a tenner anywhere (£9.71 actually). Is it worth it? I assume this is a boot? |

Can't see it cheaper than a tenner anywhere (£9.71 actually). Is it worth it? I assume this is a boot? Very likely to be, yes . It came out just a few years ago and i held back on getting it till now.. I'd have paid a tenner, but i jumped at it when i saw it for less. |

I only have Macalla which i bought in the 80s. Considering more - Magical Ring? |

I only have Macalla which i bought in the 80s. Considering more - Magical Ring? If you don't have a thing against compilation albums, there's a very good 2CD one called In A Lifetime which covers everything from the very beginning up to the most recent albums. I'd highly recommend that. |

Dave Whetstone has just released a new album called Winding To You https://talkingelephantrecords.bandcamp.com/album/winding-to-you. Recorded with a number of ex-Albions following the Ashley H 80th birthday celebration last year. I had a listen yesterday and have ordered a copy. Those who enjoyed mid-period Albion Band will probably enjoy it. |

I've always enjoyed listening to a bit of Supertramp, mainly the Breakfast and Quietest Moments albums so I downloaded a copy of Crime of the Century and what a great record it is.
There's an excellent live version of 'Bloody Well Right' filmed in London in '77 on YouTube which is worth a look if you're a fan.

Supertramp's albums of the mid-to-late 70s are superb.
1974's Crime Of The Century, 75's Crisis? What Crisis?, 77's Even In The Quietest Moments and 79's Breakfast In America were all groundbreaking and immensely enjoyable. 1980's Live In Paris '79 is great, the 2025 remaster being the one to listen to. 1982's Famous Last Words is reasonably good. After that, Hodgson left and... things changed, although others may like post-Hodgson more than I do.
Remastered versions of Crime Of The Century & Crisis? What Crisis? were released in 2025 (although the original master tapes for both were destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire so I'm not sure what, exactly, provides the sources for these), together with a remastered Live In Paris '79. and 2026 has brought us Even In The Quiestest Moments, Breakfast In America and Famous Last Words.
Roger Hodgson's solo albums post-Supertramp are mixed, but 84's In The Eye Of The Storm is well worth a listen.
2005's Retrospectacle is a reasonable intro to the band for neophytes.

Playing my way through the new Strawbs BBC boxed set, Glimpse of Heaven.
Fans who have the excellent 2005 boxed set Taste of Strawbs , and the 2010 BBC Live/Sessions CDs will have some of this material already, but it sounds pretty good here, and the box is supposed to contain everything from the archives 1966- 84.
There's a a blu ray disc included for those who want such things.
