Is it me or has Chris gone a bit Mariah Carey tonight, throwing in uncharacteristic superfluous vocal flourishes here and there?

Quite correct, he's been doing a bit of unnecessary warbling at times
The presenters were, as ever, irritating as owt, and the constant warnings to keep maiden aunts safe as there just might be the small chance of a bit of Lord majoring as it's live.
Matty & Motl approach
DM improves the band immensely
It's that effing banjo again🙄
The odd song apart i enjoyed it, not enough to put the feet, knees and hip through a weekend in the country though.
Will they revert to a bigger crowd next year? I would think the smaller crowd will have made it feel quite pleasant for those in attendance

Yes, I generally haven't minded banjo Matty over the years but it needs a rest now, especially as it was so nice to hear Simon hammering the electric during that performance.

Also, quibbles aside, kudos to Radio Oxford for the sound balance tonight. It has sounded terrific with every instrument fully defined in the mix.

I really enjoyed Danny Bradley's cameo too. Anybody know what his album is like?

Any guests? I'll probably regret missing this one as if the numbers increase again next year because they've got more fields back this is the one I'd have enjoyed most since the good old days. Oh well...can't win em all. It does sound like a very enjoyable festival.

Only Ralph McTell and the aforementioned Danny Bradley from what I can recall.

Correct. Other than the usual random gathering of folk for MoTL.

To be fair, I think Fairport were ready early and started a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time.

Yes. When we couldn’t make it we were very grateful for the coverage and I will be listening back to it to reminisce about the wonderful one, this year, too.

Uncharacteristically sunny here this weekend, so we sat out in our Cropredy chairs which were out airing. Listened ( at various times)  to the coverage, it was nice to reminisce one week on and to hear the interviews and the songs.
