With a new album out in May let's hope the Waterboys balance the new with lots of the old favourites!

Just glad that Wickham Festival (week before Cropredy) *also* has Frank Turner (and more acts to suit his fans) than Cropredy - so with luck, Cropredy won't get inundated with FT fans who will likely get bored (and possibly drunk) during the rest of the festival.

Wickham also have day tickets.

FT will upset the chair-sitters in the audience who will get fed up of being danced on & hopefully pack up early.

The BC Folk Awards have been moved to the autumn for some reason so there will be now 2019 winner until then. FC Towers say normal service resuming in 2020 (presumably with the 2019 winner)

Crikey, I clearly missed out when I saw him at Cambridge FF recently. No problems at all. But, hey, what do I know?

As a Frank Turner fan is it compulsory for me to get drunk and rowdy?

No ones told me that at any of his gigs I've been to where there's been no trouble of any kind. But there again he's from the hotbed of British troublemaking. Tough place Winchester.

He learnt all his bad habits at school.  Tough place, Eton.

Eton? Gosh. How amazing. I have never met or seen anyone in my life who was educated there. Hardly fits in with the punk image. Should be a very interesting set by these guys., don't know what to expect  but then Cropredy is always full of great surprises.

Sorry, it goes back to at least 1893.

From FC's website (dated 13th June), I've only just spotted this...….

Peggy writes - "Fairports will be doing the Cropredy Warm up shows at Banbury Trades and Labour Club on 5 & 6 August. We will have special guests joining us on both nights including Dave Mattacks and "Fairport Extension “. This will be a 10 piece line up enabling us to tackle some “big production” items from our past repertoire. Do please join us for these special pre-Cropredy Festival events.
Cheers, Peggy."

Could be a very interesting Saturday night set, then?
