Tricky one to organise this. In order to make it work I have restricted it to official releases but have had to include a few collaborations and film soundtracks.
So, two groups drawn from a hat. Seven winners from each group progress to the round of 16 along with two lucky losers.

And what about the French-Frith-Kaiser-Thompson collaborations, or the David Thomas ones? I would have thought it would be fairer to not include compilations, since they each span several years and therefor the matches don't pit a particular RT carreer time period vs another. But I suspect it's too late to make these type of suggestions, so...

I considered FFKT but have tried as far as possible to limit this to projects where RT is at least 50% of the collaboration. The only compilation here is Guitar Vocal which, at the time of issue was more or less all previously unreleased material. With a field of 32, some of the entries looked a bit tenuous. I had to draw thw line somewhere. Besides FAFAs decision is final. |
