OK, got me uke and can play a few tunes (won't comment on the singing though  ). Now chaps, a bit of help/advice please from the experts amongst us. Bridge; The one on me uke is smooth, should I file in some slots for the strings to sit in?? Strings: should I change them (as someone suggested in another thread), what's the best/acceptable ones to use?? PS: Great site, Puggs, WMCA has never sounded so good |

Yep it is a good site. The Uke Wednesday Songbooks are good as well. Get some Aquila strings (ebay) they're ace. All the bridges on my ukes are smooth. If you want to bring the action down you are better sanding the bridge underside making sure you have a perfectly flat surface. Oh and do it very slowly with lots of testing |

Well I've been bashin away at the chords for Uke Central - the air's been blue wiv curses an evil threats - I still sound more like Gerry's washboard when it's been in the back of 'is shed fer 10 years. Still it's an improvement on yesterday. |
