Looking at some old Cropredy photos i took in the 80s, I sudeenly remembered Simon's Corn Flake Packet guitar. He played it with both Fairport and the Albions. Whatever happened to it?

I recall him playing it at one or two "unofficial" fairport gigs in Masham Town Hall in the early 80's. There also used to be a fine photo of him playing it on the wall in the White Bear. Not sure where the photo was taken, or if it's still there.

We missed out on the really early days and first went to see the band in the Simon, Swarb, Peggy, Bruce Rowland lineup. He was playing it then around 1979-80 ish.
I seem to remember some talk of another one being planned, but can't remember the details.
Would be interested to know if it was comfy... those sharp edges!

True, it's still in the wardrobe and will probably stay there as it's really not that great a guitar to start with and not at all the style of guitar that suits the music we're playing right now. But as I always said when quizzed about it back then, it does have a very low cereal number and a very crisp sound.......
