Dennis Locorierre has Cropredy 2012 as a date on his website.

I enjoyed his last appearence. If I recall correctly it was a beautiful sunny afternoon and he woke everyone up and turned it into a singalong!

Ah, an opportunity to pop down the village then
I'm probably being a bit unfair. If he was an 'unknown' snigger, snogwriter we would probably want to listen. He fills a stage, is a v good quitarist and songwriter and can sell a song. I's just  'Sylvias Mother' has a lot to answer for! However , apparently , he hasn't been including it in recent set lists.
But then again if Leatherat were on at the Brase there would be no contest. I suspect he will be on solo immediately before Fairports so a clash is more than possible.

No please, not Rumours!!  Just what I don't want, a Fleetwood Mac (AOR period) tribute band - though I could see the attraction of those harmonies on a sunny afternoon.

Now - Peter Green, there's a thought. He could guest with Andy Roberts from Plainsong on the old Liverpool Scene number "I got those Fleetwood Mac, Chicken Shack, John Mayall can't fail blues".

In fact - let's have John Mayall.

Had the pleasure of seeing Peter Green a couple of years ago. He is very fragile but his band look after him. He was playing to much smaller crowds an I'm not sure he could cope with Cropredy tbh, though I'd love to see him if he could.

He didn't write that. Authored by the late great Shel Silverstein I believe, the man responsible for the classic "I Got Stoned And I Missed It".

Cheers Al, it's just one of those songs, up there with the Carpenters, Peters and Lee,The Birdie Song, Celine Dion, D.I.V.O.R.C.E etc that just has me running for the hills.

Hmmm, Sylvias Mother is one of my most loathed songs. Is it him singing? One of those songs, we all have some, that sets my teeth on edge.

If he does play, hopefully it will be in the pre FC graveyard slot.

When are Steel Pulse and Stiff Little Fingers being confirmed?  Afro

You do and he did. Smiley

One of the few appearances at Cropredy (or indeed anywhere else) where I have completely revised my opinion by the end of an artist's set.  I expected to loathe him, and he was truly fab.

That's interesting. Maybe I need to do some youtubing. I also expect I would loathe him, but I think that is mostly because of Sylvias Mother, so maybe I should investigate further (might need a few stiff drinks first though).

PG is touring with an orchestra at the moment which would be inordinately expensive.

I am working on the New Blood project with Peter Gabriel and can honestly say it's the best show I have been involved with in my career!

some people are never satisfied ....  Roll Eyes

Mind you, he could be backed by the original Bay City Rollers and I'd still watch him goggle-eyed  Lips Sealed he can do very little wrong

I saw Peter Gabriel with the New Blood orchestra in London last year. It was amazing - but then I am, and always have been, a big fan.
He's finished touring for the moment and is soon to be working on new material

I thought he was great, too.

So much better than that band who are back after only a one year gap.
