Well, you can start the rumours now if you so wish  Grin....

The office asked on Twitter whether they should do a pre-Xmas sale or wait until they confirm the line-up at the usual time after the Winter Tour....Feelings were a bit mixed, especially as most that wanted a pre-Xmas sale also suggested an early-bird discount....

Well I don't want to start any rumours but this is what I'd be very happy to see:

Fairport - Saturday night
Fairport - Friday night - performing Unhalfbricking in full
Richard Thompson
Slade
Crazy World of Arthur Brown
Albion Band (new vesion)
Thea Gilmore
Roger McGuinn

Given the amount that they've been talked about by Gareth on the Fairport facebook/twitter, I reckon its a dead cert that the guys will try and book them.

I quite like it if there's a well-known act on that I really don't want to see. It's just too exhausting if you have to watch everyone and there's no time to go back to the tent for a lie down.

i prefer to just sit there in the **** we**her and listen to whoever is on.   But thats just my thoughts.  Though if Sade is the Thursday headliner I would have to say "Oi Fairport Noooooo"  though Lorraine would overrule me Huh

Sade? Or Slade? Did you misspell it just for the L of it, or do you think the soulful queen of smooch-rock would really be a possibility? I saw her (Sade) first time round in the 80s, and it was a really good gig.

Slade would be great for going crazy and feeling the noise. Sade would be great for going back to the tent for a little snooze.

In fact, I'd probably welcome the latter after seeing the former.

I'm not quite sure why people seem to be talking as though Slade are a possibility...they haven't existed as a band in two decades, have they?!

Slade II are a laugh (I've seen them and enjoyed them), but sans Noddy, if not Jim, it's really not Slade, is it?

Still, give me a Slade cover band over Sade any day of the week...

This year I'd like to try for Waterboys or Saw Drs ...  Wink

Slade II reverted back to calling themselves Slade several years ago, David, and now simply tour under the Slade name.

It's Dave and Don with two other musicians.
