Yes I've heard the same. So if you really want to buy a BMW then your iPod will work in it no probs folks.
But if you buy a BMW then its your own fault

Mmmmmmm, iPods in cars......I cheated a bit in my luvverly Octavia - a man put in a Clarion CD/Radio that had an 'aux in' socket, and attached a trailing cable to it with a mini-jack on the end of it to plug into me iPod. Bingo! The CD player plays mp3s as well (on CDR obviously), which has been handy occasionally.
I got a cheap dash-mount and a ciggy-lighter charger and I'm not sure if I've ever been so happy...
