Hi Ces,
From the age of 13, I have gigged in pubs (including my local "raaackin" cellar bar, where the landlord "Bob" would allow me illegal access to perform). I stopped this prior to having my daughter Molly who is now 6.
I have done what must be thousands of pub gigs over the years. The Martin Barre Band was probably my last live and pub gig performing experience.
I had a project going some 6-7 years ago with Matt Pegg, Marc Parnell, Rob Bowerman and Dave Greenwood, called The Broadcasters. The initial broadcaster kitchen rehearsals and recording sessions were very sociable events! Unfortunately, our hectic and busy lives were not conducive to the bands survival. I miss that part of it greatly.
I would love to do something live again, and hope that one day David Hughes and I might get it together. The advent of Broadband might actually help this process, in allowing us to rehearse over the internet? We'll see? It's a long way from Honiton to Maldon!
I do still write music, and I hope to do this a lot more in future years. I'm aware that I have neglected this part of my life for some years now...

Thanks for reminding me!
Mark
