I have a few guitars and I left one of them in the basement for a few years only to find the cheap case covered with mildew.  Eegads!!  Luckily, the guitar came away unscathed and I immediately went out and purchased a $125 hardshell case.  Nothing's getting in that baby!

The moral of your story:  Play your guitars on a regular basis and don't let them get moldy.

Nick, these are cute!   Kiss

Sister Bridget by the stair; a glass of wine and she's almost there.
Cousin Jimmy at the door; another beer and he's on the floor.

How true. If you're not playing an instrument for a long while then maybe it would be better off with someone else who would love it more.
