Hi Maart,

Did you enjoy your time working with The John Wright Band & do you have any plans to work with him again next year?

If so any chance of a gig in Nottingham?

I did enjoy working with John. He's also from Manchester, though a City fan, but we have roots in common. He's a great chap, very interesting life and I love him dearly. I keep nagging him to write a song himself and one day he might. For my own musical taste there is a surfeit of ballads but that's what he likes to sing. He has two great musicians with him at the moment, Joe Wright (no relation as far as John can remember) and Joe Topping (songwriter from Merseyside who's album I played on in 2004. Last year.). When I was with John we had the mighty Parky (Chris Parkinson, squeezy maestro, great chap and filthy mind). Happy days

Hi Maart,

I know Joe Wright as he drinks in my local when he's up this way visiting Brian Golbey & he assures me he's not related to John!!

Yes, but he's a very good egg and a great fiddle player.

Maart.
