Ooh, and what about Tarras - are they still around? They were great!

Cheers, Molar.

Tarras broke up a couple of years ago, not long after they played at Cropredy. Shame, they were great. Ben Murray has a great voice. They toured in Germany with Kieran Halpin and I a few years ago and they were so young and inexperienced. We showed them how to have breakfast and sleep etc so Kieran and I became their uncles, Uncle Kieran and Uncle Maart. After the second gig, cittern player Rob Armstrong (no relation) came up to Kieran and said, "Kieran, you tour a lot. Don't you get tired?"
"Rob! It's only the second day!"
At the end of the tour they were flying to Manchester and I was off to Birmingham. I said, "Right then, let's check in and have a pint".
"Do what?"
So I checked them in and said goodbye. The next time I saw them they were at Cambridge and they saw me halfway through a tune. "Uncle Maart!"
I hope they come out with something soon, either individually or collectively. It was so sad to see them grow then stop.
